INDINVEST orders new 28MN ESED press from Danieli Breda

INDINVEST assigned an important order for a new 28MN Extrusion Press to Danieli Breda in October 2015. This will be the second press to be installed by Danieli Breda at INDINVEST site in Latina.

INDINVEST LT is an Italian group specialized in the extrusion of aluminium profiles and ranks among the leading extrusion companies in Italy.

INDINVEST LT now has two sites; each addresses a specific function. The first, in Cisterna di Latina, is equipped with an internal foundry for the production of billets and four extrusion lines with ranges of 12MN, 19MN, 25MN and 33MN, producing approximately 45,000 tons per year of extruded profiles, with 13,500 different section types: micro-profiles from 50 g /m up to those weighing more than 15 kg/m.
The engineering and testing department for structural profile design is based at the company’s second site in Biassono, Monza. A control department equipped with a modern test bench analyses and certifies the performance of new samples.

The new press for INDINVEST belongs to the Front Loading ESED (Energy Saving Electrical Drive) series, patented by Breda, and completes the product range of the existing presses, allowing the company to be more competitive especially in the field of 9” billets.
The 28MN Extrusion Press will be equipped with a remote diagnostic system (RAP), fast data analyser, variable frequency drive pumps (ESED) and a press mouth safety device (PMSD).
A guillotine plate made of ballistic steel and equipped with a camera is located at press exit to increase operator safety during die testing and at the start of the extrusion process.
Recording the profile-forming phase supports the die corrector and prevents the operator from leaning dangerously towards the die to catch the profile and guide it to the puller for clamping.

The scope of supply includes a new dummy block change-over device to centre and load the cleaning blocks.
Preassembly and testing will be performed in Danieli workshops in Buttrio to reduce erection time.
