In a major step for sustainable steel manufacturing, Greensteel Australia has been awarded a contract by global steelmaking technology leader Danieli to build a 600,000-tonne-per-year rolling mill that will be powered entirely by green hydrogen.

Phu My Flat Steel, part of Viet Nam Steel Corporation, contracted Danieli Service Vietnam to refurbish the gearbox that powers its cold rolling mill stand in Phu My, following a spindle failure that compromised the gearbox geometry.

Leading flat-rolled aluminium producer Novelis –recognized as one of the world’s largest recyclers of aluminium– is relying on Danieli technology for its new plant to be built in Bay Minette, Alabama, USA.

Installed at Izmit plant in Turkey the new spooler line of Diler Demir Çelik is producing achieving top performances in and breaking speed records (40 m/sec) for diameters D8 and D10.
