Final Acceptance for Shandong Weiqiao High-Speed Edge Trimming Line
Further proof of Danieli Fröhling’s undisputable leadership in high-speed trimming of aluminium strip

Shandong Weiqiao Aluminum is one of China's largest private alumina producers in terms of capacity.
The company is based in Binzhou, China, and its current output capacity is roughly 1.8 million metric tons per year. Danieli Fröhling received an order for two high-speed trimming lines with a production of some 460,000 tpy.
In April 2016, the final acceptance of the two finishing lines was completed and the units are now in full production.
The size of the main product is 0.1-1.2 mm thickness, and 980-2,150 mm width, for a maximum coil weight of 30 tons. The maximum strip cutting speed of the trimming lines is 1,500 m/min., producing primarily alloys of series 1xxx, 3xxx, 5xxx, and 8xxx.
Danieli supplied the entire system, including coil entry side, in-line coil preparation, electrostatic oiling, side trimming, scrap suction and recoiling at high speed, as well as the auxiliary systems and electrics/automation. Special features such as in-line preparation with drum shear (head end cropping) at a speed of 200 mpm, CNC trimming shear for fully automatic adjustment of width, knife immersion and cutting gap, a reliable scrap suction and removal system including wet washer unit are also included in the package.
With the FAC, the customer honors the leading market position of Danieli Fröhling’s equipment, thus confirming that its proven cutting edge technology can meet the required production schedule, as well as the final product quality. Danieli has been the contractor for 15 of such or similar high-speed trimming lines in China in the last decade. Additional orders from all over the world add up to a total of 21 lines for speeds >1,000 mpm, by Danieli Fröhling.
