Zahit Aluminium confirms performance of Danieli Breda extrusion press in Turkey

Zahit Aluminium has confirmed the successful commissioning and ongoing operation of a 12‑inch, 47‑MN extrusion press supplied by Danieli Breda at its plant in Sariçam/Andana, Turkey.

After several months of production, the installation is demonstrating stable performance and reliability in the manufacture of aluminum profiles for structural, architectural, framing and photovoltaic applications.

The extrusion press is equipped with Danieli Breda ESED 4.0 energy‑saving system, contributing to reduced electrical consumption during operation. The line also features proven isothermal extrusion technology, ensuring optimized temperature control at press exit and consistent product quality throughout the production cycle.

Production is carried out with consistent low dead‑cycle times below 17 seconds, including the burp cycle, on billet lengths of 1500 mm. The plant supports the manufacturing of a wide range of profile types for multiple industrial applications.

The installation includes an advanced automation system with integrated data acquisition and analysis platform (IBA), enabling monitoring and process optimization. Operational efficiency is further supported by the use of an industrial tablet alongside the conventional control panel, allowing improved control, maintenance management and remote assistance capabilities.

As part of Zahit Aluminium’s expansion program, a second extrusion press is scheduled for installation in the coming months, further increasing production capacity at the site.
