Pacific Steel Group selects Danieli for state-of-the-art ECO Primary Line

Pacific Steel Group has selected Danieli to supply a state-of-the-art “ECO Primary Line” to be applied to the Danieli Hybrid MiDa Plant in California, USA. 

The customer has collaborated with Danieli to integrate an advanced process to control EAF air emissions to industry leading values. 

Extensive research and engineering have allowed Danieli to develop a premier solution to be applied to the EAF primary line that will allow the Customer to dramatically abate emissions, with focus on NOx, SOx, filterable and condensable particulate matter (PM), and (volatile organic compounds) VOCs.

The equipment will be designed with the provision for installation of a Carbon Capture System, as a step towards furthering environmentally sustainable steel production. This project will be an important milestone in green steel manufacturing and will set the bar for the future. 

The ECO Primary Line is expected to be completed within the first half of 2027, together with the H-MiDa plant, resulting in one of the most sustainable reinforcing steel manufacturing facilities globally.
