Interpipe Steel orders new 310-mm round section upgrade for CCM #2

Ukrainian greenfield EAF-based steelmaking complex Interpipe Steel has commissioned Danieli to supply a new 310-mm round section for its continuous casting machine #2 (CCM #2).

The upgrade will extend the casting range of CCM #2 to include 310 mm round billets, enhancing production flexibility. The scope covers detailed engineering, mechanical and process design, ensuring seamless integration with the existing casting infrastructure.

This project reinforces Danieli’s long-standing partnership with Interpipe Steel, built on shared technical expertise and closely coordinated engineering efforts.

The new round section is being developed to support high-quality steel grade production while maintaining operational efficiency and reliability. It will be engineered to match current performance standards of Interpipe Steel’s casting operations.

Commissioning is expected before year end.
