Fabbricando 2023: Competition Inspiring Young Minds in STEM

The 2023 edition of Fabbricando, the competition promoted by Danieli to engage young people in the world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), concluded with an inspiring award ceremony honoring the winners.

The competition comprised four categories, targeting the following areas of study:

• Early childhood, primary, and lower secondary schools
• Upper secondary schools and Technical Institutes
• ITS Academy
• Graduates and undergraduates in Primary Education Sciences

More than 20 schools, 400 students, and 50 teachers from across Italy enthusiastically participated in the initiative, presenting a remarkable collection of 39 projects related to environmental conservation, energy solutions, digital innovation, industrial automation, and effective communication.

Out of these projects, 14 emerged as winners, while three received special mentions, representing the boundless ingenuity and creativity of the younger generation. Their exceptional ideas offer a glimpse into a future that is sustainable, inclusive, and adaptable to the needs of all.

Discussing the event, Gianpietro Benedetti, President of the Group, highlighted the unanimous recognition of the value of "learning by doing." He emphasized that this approach fosters children's self-confidence, helps them discover their talents, and encourages teamwork by sharing tasks, responsibilities, and objectives.

The participants were also granted exclusive access to explore the Danieli workshops and the groundbreaking ABS and QWR facilities, showcasing cutting-edge technological advancements.

Danieli expresses deep appreciation to all the students and schools that embraced this initiative. The originality and innovation displayed in the proposed projects affirm that young individuals already possess the ideas necessary to shape a better future. It brings us great joy at Danieli to support them in realizing their aspirations for a brighter tomorrow.

Established in 2006, Fabbricando aims to introduce boys and girls to the world of STEM disciplines from the outset of their educational journey. It strives to promote an understanding of local realities and productive activities, fostering a seamless integration between schools and businesses.

Con la premiazione dei vincitori si è conclusa l’edizione 2023 di Fabbricando, il concorso promosso da Danieli per avvicinare i più giovani al mondo STEM, che racchiude scienze, tecnologia, ingegneria e matematica.

Il concorso prevedeva quattro bandi per altrettanti ambiti di studio:

• Scuole dell’infanzia, primarie e secondarie di primo grado;
• Scuole secondarie di secondo grado e Istituti Tecnici Superiori;
• ITS Academy;
• Laureandi e laureati in Scienze della formazione primaria.

Più di 20 scuole, 400 studenti e 50 docenti da tutta Italia hanno aderito all’iniziativa, presentando complessivamente 39 progetti legati alle tematiche in campo ambientale, energetico, digitale, dell’automazione industriale e di comunicazione.

14 i progetti vincitori e tre le menzioni speciali, a rappresentare l’ingegno e la creatività dei più giovani, una risorsa inesauribile per immaginare un futuro più sostenibile, inclusivo e in grado di adattarsi ai bisogni di tutti.

“Imparare facendo è stato percepito da tutti come un valore aggiunto”, ha spiegato, a margine della cerimonia, il Presidente del Gruppo, Gianpietro Benedetti. “Un valore aggiunto perché stimola i bambini. I bambini, nel fare, prendono confidenza e si identificano nei propri talenti, sono più motivati e fanno un lavoro di squadra dividendo compiti, funzioni, obiettivi". 

A lato della cerimonia, i partecipanti hanno potuto visitare le officine Danieli e l’innovativo impianto di ABS, QWR, simboli di avanguardia tecnica e tecnologica.

Danieli ringrazia tutti gli studenti e le scuole che hanno aderito a questa iniziativa—l’originalità e l’innovazione dei progetti proposti è la testimonianza di quanto i ragazzi posseggano già le idee in grado di costruire un futuro migliore. E noi di Danieli siamo felici di poterli aiutare a ottenere i mezzi per fabbricare il loro futuro.

Il concorso

Nato nel 2006, Fabbricando si pone l’obiettivo di avvicinare i ragazzi e le ragazze, sin dall’inizio del loro percorso scolastico, al mondo delle discipline STEM, promuovendo la conoscenza delle realtà e delle attività produttive dei propri territori, favorendo così l’integrazione fra scuole e imprese.
