Danieli Centro Maskin technology for high-quality bar finishing

Vardhman Special Steel contracted Danieli to supply a new black-bar straightening line to be installed at Ludhiana Works, Punjab province, in India.

Featuring a two-roll straightening unit, the new line will process special steel black bars having diameters from 16 to 102 mm, at working speeds up to 120 m/min, granting high-quality finished products and productivity.

The heavy-duty design of the straightening rolls and the wide, variable working-angle will allow the processing of special steel bars in multiple grades, in excellent dimensional tolerance –bar straightening up to 0.5 mm/m for as-rolled steel / up to 0.1 mm/m for bright steel.

Integrated into a user-friendly interface, Danieli Automation advanced process control and devices will make operations easier and safer.

The supply will include engineering, technological equipment, on-site training, and advisory services.

The new bar straightening line is scheduled to start operation in early 2026.
