Steelmaking at Tokyo Steel
Powered by Q-ONE

The patented Danieli technology, already used by European steelmakers, now in operation at the Kyushu plant, in Japan.
DIGITALIZING THE EAF PROCESS
Designed with a single high-current module for the Tokyo steel 115-t ladle furnace, working with an up to 25-kA current and 205-V arc voltages, the Q-ONE successfully processed the first heat on August 12, 2021.
Performance results
Consumption Reduction
Thanks to frequency variation we can achive an electrical energy saving of 12% at 40Hz
Power-on time decrease
36%, passing from 32 min to 23 min
Stable power factor
At around 0.96, compared to previous 0.90
Voltage flicker reduction
≥ 60%
