Descrizione / Description

Danieli Automation, leader a livello mondiale nella realizzazione di automazioni di processo per impianti siderurgici, ha avviato un progetto di industrializzazione dei risultati ottenuti nel precedente progetto finanziato denominato “DIGIMET - Digitalization for the Metals Industry” e volto alla costituzione di una piattaforma software per l'erogazione di servizi data-driven.

Danieli Automation, a worldwide leading company in process automation for steelmaking plants, has launched a project for the industrialization of the results obtained with the previous funded project named “DIGIMET - Digitalization for the Metals Industry” and focused towards the creation of a software platform for data-driven services implementation and delivery.

Obiettivo / Target

Lo scopo del progetto è quello di supportare, tramite opportune infrastrutture informatiche, il nuovo flusso di lavoro e le nuove figure, opportunamente formate nel campo della statistica e dell'analisi dei dati, per l’erogazione di tali servizi ai clienti.

The purpose of the project is to support, through a proper hardware infrastructure, the new work flow and the new resources, with qualified expertise in statistics and data analysis, with the delivery of data-driven services to customers.

Risultati / Results

La nuova infrastruttura informatica sarà composta da un data center iperconvergente per la virtualizzazione dei servizi interni di memorizzazione dei dati, coadiuvata da un aumento di capacità di trasmissione della rete interna per sostenere connessioni remote o anche streaming audio/video, e da un certo numero di nodi server, ad elevata capacità computazionale, da utilizzarsi per attività di progettazione e sviluppo.

The new hardware infrastructure will consist of an hyperconverged data center for the virtualization of the internal services for data storing, supported by an internal network with increased bandwith in order to manage remote connections as well as audio/video streaming, and of a given number of high performance computing server nodes, supporting design and development activities.
