The understanding gained from more than 600 rolling mills and more than 600 casters brought forward the development of QLP-DUE endless casting plants, where productivities up to 1,500,000 tpy are achieved, operating single-strand casters featuring patented Eco-Power moulds and octagonal sections. These plants ensure the highest product quality and productivity at the lowest production costs. Jumbo casters produce up to 1200-mm blooms. The sixth generation of billet welders guarantees enhanced efficiency and less maintenance. Spooled bars are coiled in up to 8-t coils and wirerod is produced at 140 m/s. The Drawer produces ready-to-use hot-rolled bars with high dimensional tolerances of 1/8 DIN.
