EVRAZ ZSMK (Russia, Novokuznetsk) has awarded Danieli Centro Met with an order for the Q-TEMP VD Technological Package, which will enable continuous liquid steel temperature monitoring in the existing VD unit without the necessity of vacuum killing. This will ensure constant increased temperature measurement quality, reducing treatment cycle and increasing VD productivity.

Danieli three-roll cross rolling mill in quick operation at Vallourec, Rath, Germany

Excellent performances achieved right from the beginning by Vallourec Deutschland (VAD) operating the new Danieli cross-rolling mill. The CRM supplied to VAD is a unique, newly designed machine developed by Danieli Centro Tube to meet VAD demanding requirements. These include the flexibility to roll carbon, alloy, and high-alloy carbon steel grades, starting from 400 to 850 mm OD ingots. The finished products are tubes ranging from 244 to 711 mm OD (9-5/8 to 28 inches.)

AEMZ - Abinsk Electric Steel Works Ltd., has ordered a second coil compactor from Sund Birsta. The purpose of the investment is to secure its coils with 8 bindings, as per market request. The new equipment will be installed by the beginning of 2018 on the wirerod mill supplied by Danieli in 2015.

Hoa Phat selects Danieli Corus for Dung Quat 4 Mtpy blast furnace complex

Danieli Corus has been awarded a contract for the design, supply and supervision of four greenfield blast furnaces by Vietnamese steel producer Hoa Phat Steel. The project is part of the new Dung Quat iron & steel making complex committed to by Hoa Phat, who currently operate a 2.0 Mtpy iron & steel making plant in Hai Duong.

SAIL awards Danieli India a maintenance assistance contract for IISCO bar mill

The IISCO plant, located in Burnpur, West Bengal, India, operates two rolling mills supplied by Danieli to produce steel bars and wirerod, which have a capacity of 0.6 Mtpy and 0.75 Mtpy respectively. Under the new contract Danieli India will conduct preventive maintenance for the bar mill, improving plant availability. Maintenance activities will be performed in co-operation with IISCO’s maintenance team.
